Abstrak

Community service (PkM) is the process of applying the knowledge gained in higher education to provide the widest possible benefit to society. Community service activities should always be oriented towards activities whose benefits and impacts can be felt directly by the community. One form of service that can be done is social service. Therefore, through this social service, we visited the Assalaam Pekanbaru Orphanage with the aim of sharing with each other and also honing the leadership spirit and self-confidence of the orphanage's children. This research uses a qualitative approach. The research method used in this research is field research with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results obtained from this social service activity are that it can strengthen relationships with others, become more sensitive to the social environment, grow self-confident attitudes and hone participants' leadership skills.
